Dr Andy Turner

Dr Andy TurnerAndy is a registered health psychologist and  Senior Research Fellow at the Applied Research Centre of Health and Lifestyle Interventions, based at Coventry University. 

Andy has been developing, delivering and evaluating health behaviour coaching and self-management programmes for patients and carers programmes for over 15 years. Andy is trained in motivational interviewing and psychological coaching and is a Register of Exercise Professionals registered personal trainer.
  
Andy, along with Dave McHattie and colleagues at Coventry University developed Coventry University’s Help to Overcome Problems Effectively (HOPE) health coaching and self-management support programme for cancer survivors, people living with dementia, people living with MS, people living with HIV/AIDS, parents of children living with ADHD/ASD and people with mental health problems. He has written  over 60 papers and book chapters in the field of self-management and health behaviour coaching.
